I am a settler based in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) and mixed-methods scholar whose research focuses on how political parties, voters and the media respond to environmental crises in an increasingly globalised world. I am particularly interested in ecosocial forms of environmental politics that seek to address environmental, social and economic injustices in tandem. I have a PhD in comparative environmental politics from Monash University (on the impact internationalisation has on domestic environmental and climate politics) and BA(Hons) from the University of Melbourne (with a thesis assessing media coverage of sea-level rise in the Pacific) . I have taught in Australian politics, comparative politics, environmental politics and political economy at both Melbourne and Monash. I entered academia following a professional career in the higher education sector, working communications and engagement roles in health and social change-focused departments and institutes, including several roles supporting Indigenous equity initiatives.
